On March 10, 2022, SkyUp Airlines, in cooperation with the Israeli Humanitarian Funds IFCJ, Latet, JDC, transported 16 tons of humanitarian cargo. This cargo included medicines, pills, diapers, personal hygiene products, blankets, food. All these vital products were purchased by Israeli organizations for Ukrainians. As the situation with insulin in Ukraine is critical, its delivery is especially important, because human lives depend on this medicine.
The cargo was distributed according to special purposes. More than 5 tons of cargo provided by benefactors were sent to Chisinau for the needs of refugees, 9.5 tons of general purpose products and medicines were distributed to Ukraine. The cargo followed the route Chisinau - Odesa, where it arrived on March 15. From there it will be allocated to different parts of Ukraine depending on the needs of cities - Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava. Part of the cargo is planned to be delivered to Mariupol, in case the way to do this is found.
Dmytro Seroukhov, CEO of SkyUp Airlines, emphasized: “On behalf of the airline, I would like to thank the foundations and citizens of Israel for their support and assistance to Ukrainians. We are proud to work with you. Our company will continue to support the charity initiative and in the nearest future is planning to transport 46 tons of humanitarian aid from Israel to Ukraine".
