From airport to the city

From Boryspil airport, you can get to Kyiv by bus (from the stop close to the exit of Terminal D, € 2-3.3 per ticket), by train (from the station to the right from Terminal D, € 2.6) or by taxi (≈ € 10-16).

Transport

The most convenient transport in Kyiv is the metro. The ticket costs €0.3. However, you can buy a card for 10–50 trips and save money (the card itself costs €1.6). In addition, it is valid in other municipal transport.

Interesting historical places

Kyiv is a contrasting city. Here, there are ancient cathedrals, luxurious palaces and mansions, memorial complexes, and even the fortress. We offer a route with the most captivating places.

Stroll through the territory and take a closer look at the bell tower of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Park of Glory is located a stone’s throw from there with its main attraction – the view of the city's left bank. Then, go to the Arsenalna metro station, where the Kyiv Fortress has been restored, and go down Hrushevskoho Street to the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) (while walking, do not miss the chicly decorated Mariinsky Palace). If you do not get tired, here is the continuation: from the Square, go up to the Saint Sophia Cathedral, which combines Byzantine and Baroque architecture. From that place – down again, through Andriyivskyy Descent (Andrew’s Descent) to Podil (pay attention to the emerald St. Andrew’s Church at the beginning of the descent).

There are establishments for every taste in Kyiv. Establishments in the area of Leo Tolstoy and Olympiс Stadium will suit for business meetings, and we advise Podil for a leisurely lunch. And, we hope, Ukrainian dishes will not leave you indifferent.

And if you want to drink delicious and high-quality alcohol in the evening, you do not need to go far – in the same areas, there are the best bars in the city.

If you like the Middle Ages, visit “The Kievan Rus Park”. Kyiv of those times was recreated there, and Cossack and knightly battles are regularly arranged.
