Prague - a city of jewelry and beers

Shopping in Prague is like a whirlpool of pleasure and beauty. We advise you to spend at least a couple of days on this, because even in a small souvenir shop you can linger for a long time, looking at fabulous items.

One of the most popular souvenirs is a garnet, which can be found in every jewelry store, and you will find the best prices for it at Lapiz Diamond factory, which, by the way, produces the world famous Bohemian glass.

Almost every tourist includes local beer tasting to their trip. There are a lot of varieties here, but locals call Pardubice porter with a sweet, bitter caramel taste one of the best. You might also like Slivovitz and Becherovka. Beer-based cosmetics are also popular - masks, shampoos, creams, etc.

Worth to visit

Prague is impossible to see in a short time. Even when you walk along the streets that you have already passed, each time you discover something new. This city is full of monuments, and the most important of them are the following:

Staré Město is a historical area listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most lively location here for hundreds of years has been the Old City Square, around which are located architectural monuments in the styles of rococo, baroque, renaissance and gothic. The main sight here is the Old City Hall. Tourists also like to visit the Church of Mother of God before Týn with formidable spiers and a rich history. Josefov quarter with the oldest Jewish cemetery in Europe is worth the attention. Also Clementinum, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, the Palace of the Horses and the Old City Bridge Tower are worth visiting.

The Charles Bridge. Founded in 1357 according to the design of the architect Petr Parler, this bridge has survived for 700 years even after floods and historical upheavals. Its ancient architecture and cobbled pavement framed by statues take passers-by with thoughts of the Middle Ages. On the east side of the bridge rises a tower with a Gothic arch, the emblems of the Holy Roman Empire and portraits of Kings Wenceslas IV and Charles IV. The western part is framed by two ancient towers. On the right of them there is an observation deck, which offers a panoramic view of Prague.

The Old City Hall is the pearl of the old part of the city, which looks like a fabulous medieval castle. In addition to the beautiful architecture of the 14th century, it attracts attention with an astronomical clock with chimes, which the Czechs themselves call "the Eagle". Every hour they show a small performance with the figures of the apostles. Exhibitions are regularly held on the first two floors of the City Hall, and F. Kafka's apartments are open to the public for lovers of literature.

Where to stay?

You can rent a double room in the Czech capital for a price of 19 €. Housing for a family near the city center will cost around 23€*. Accommodation in popular Prague hotels in a standard double room costs on average 30-60€*.

Where to go nearby?

40 km from Prague, in the vicinity of the town of Benešov, is the Konopiste Castle, built in the 13th century. For 700 years, the appearance of the fortress has changed many times, and now it is a spacious complex with a rose garden, a park and the residence of the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The latter has collected several unique collections presented in the form of exhibits inside the castle.

We at SkyUp want your trip to be comfortable and beautiful, and that you completely relax, forget about any worries and set out to relax already in the cabin.

SkyInterior on our sides SkyUp is one of the reasons why it is so pleasant and comfortable to fly with us. This is an integrated approach to the design of the aircraft cabin, which is based on the principles of ergonomics, rationalism and, of course, comfort.

  • In the design of the interior panels of the cabin there are no sharp corners, it creates additional protection;
  • There are comfortable LED backlights for reading;
  • Recessed buttons to call the flight attendant make it impossible to accidentally call;
  • Inside, the new configuration of luggage racks is more spacious and comfortable.

The main and really impressive effect, which is noted by absolutely everything - is the multi-colored interior lighting, which is selected depending on the phase of flight. The colors change very smoothly within a few minutes and create an inconspicuous calming and relaxing effect during the flight.

In the night phase of the flight, the light is turned off; for comfort, only the pleasant blue Sky Skylight remains, which somewhat resembles the light of the moon. At dawn, when the time to wake up, the color of the backlight changes to orange-pink - the color of the rising sun.

SkyUp offers to enjoy the comfort of modern lounges and feel the incredible emotions during the flight. After all, the journey must begin beautifully, do you agree?
