Highlights in figures
According to the internal statistics of SkyUp Airlines*, in January 2021 we completed 72.4% of flights on time.
In total, we have performed 437 passenger flights. Among them, 323 were charter and 114 were regular. We carried 71,075 passengers, of which 58,771 people were charter flights, 12,304 were regular flights.
In addition, we transported 31,446 kilos of cargo by passenger flights.
NEW DESTINATIONS
More flights to Germany and the Czech Republic
In addition to the flights to the German cities, opened at the end of last year Kyiv — Berlin, Kyiv — Hamburg, Kyiv — Dusseldorf and Kyiv — Stuttgart in January we added another one: Kyiv — Memmingen — Kyiv.
We have also expanded our flight program to the Czech Republic. Additionally to Kyiv — Pardubice and Kyiv — Prague, flights, tickets for which were already available, we added new routes: Kyiv — Brno — Kyiv и Kyiv — Ostrava — Kyiv.
Summer in Malta
Another reason to start planning your summer vacation is a new flight to Malta, which SkyUp plans to start on May 29, 2021. We’ve currently opened ticket sales for the Kyiv — Valletta — Kyiv flight in January.
More flights to Tashkent
In January, we’ve announced flights Kyiv — Tashkent — Kyiv. They are scheduled for February 4, 11, 18, and 25. Tickets can be purchased via airline skyup.aero in "All Flights" — "Special Flights" section.
SERVICES FOR PASSENGERS
Larger hand luggage and new transportation rules
From January 20, 2021, we have increased the size of one free piece of hand luggage from 7 to 9 kilos, and also changed the rules for its transportation. More information about the rules can be found on our website.
More time for registration
From January 20, 2021, we have increased check-in time at Ukrainian airports by 30 minutes. Now check-in for SkyUp flights begins 2.5 hours and ends 45 minutes before departure. Boarding is completed 20 minutes before departure. Find more at skyup.aero.
Free transportation of animals taken from the shelter
We want as many stray animals as possible to find a home and a loving family. Therefore, we continue to participate in the Happy Paw Shelter Animal Adoption Campaign. Anyone who takes a cat or a dog from one of the Happy Paw Foundation partner shelters by the end of 2021 will be able to transport them unlimitedly and free via SkyUp Airlines flights. New people and new directions
In 2021 SkyUp Airlies significantly expands the route network, and therefore we began to look for new talents. In January, we opened vacancies for aircraft commanders, co-pilots and flight attendants. The recruitment will last through 2021 until the team is fully completed.

However, we understand that this period will not last forever, and therefore we strive to find the best specialists in our team”, says Dmitry Seroukhov, CEO at SkyUp. “We have repeatedly announced long-term plans to increase the fleet, and therefore we need new specialists. However, in current conditions, this process will last long, but we are preparing in advance: in 2021 we start with the selection of talents in order to be ready to restore the airline's full-fledged work in the future.”
