Autumn is over, but plans to travel are only gaining momentum. Together with SkyUp Airlines, discovering the world becomes even more comfortable. In November, we launched CityBreaks to European cities, opened flights to Tel Aviv, announced a program for spring-summer 2022, added an option to order PCR or antigen testing from our partners on the official website, as well as launched the HighPass service to travel with enhanced service and no queues.
Month in numbers
Over the last month of autumn, SkyUp performed 1,093 flights* with 166,504 passengers* on them. The most popular destinations in November were Dubai, Istanbul, and Tbilisi.
In total, from September to November, 773,941 passengers* traveled with SkyUp on regular and charter flights.
Tickets and hotel in Europe in a couple of clicks
In November, SkyUp significantly expanded the CityBreaks destination map. Now one can purchase tickets to Barcelona, Nice, Larnaca, Prague, or Alicante, and immediately book a hotel there in a few clicks. Moreover, those planning a vacation in Nice will receive a bonus walking tour if they travel before December 22, 2021: a voucher will be sent to the email address along with the ticket.
CityBreaks are also available for flights to Tbilisi, Batumi, Dubai, and Istanbul. Also passengers can order such smart vacations both when departing from Kyiv, or regional airports.
New flights to Tel Aviv
Visiting the holy places of Israel, meeting family and friends, or going to study now is even easier. In November, SkyUp announced new flights to Tel Aviv from Kyiv and Odesa. Flights from the Ukrainian capital have already started, and from Odesa they will open soon. In 2022, new routes from Lviv (from March 31) and Kharkiv (from May 26) are announced.
The summer program is open
Winter has just begun, but it is already time to plan trips for the spring and summer. In November, SkyUp launched flights for the 2022 summer flight program. It includes even more travel opportunities: 107 routes to 30 countries are available from Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Odesa, and Kharkiv.
Passengers can now book tickets to Western or Southern Europe (Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Germany, France); Eastern and Central Europe or the Balkans (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic or Montenegro); the countries of the Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia); or go to the East (Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Turkey), or maybe to Central Asia (Kazakhstan).
More comfort with SkyUp
Traveling with SkyUp has become even more convenient thanks to the HighPass service. HighPass covers such services as Fast Track (fast passage of security and passport control**), Meet & Greet (personal assistant who meets the passenger, accompanies and helps with all procedures**), Business Lounge (comfortable waiting in separate premium zones in the departure hall), VIP Service (comprehensive personalized service).
The list of services depends on the airport. In general, the service is already available in more than 60% of the airports from which SkyUp Airlines operates flights. Gradually, it is being implemented in all relevant destinations of the carrier. You can choose and pay for the required service when booking a ticket on the carrier's website or later in your personal account on skyup.aero.
It becomes even tastier to travel with SkyUp. To our already well-known dishes, created as part of the Celebrate your flight concept, we have added three variants of boxes with WOK noodles. Duck, vegetables, or shrimps: the choice is yours.
In addition, the airline's menu has been expanded to include a delicious new Kosher Chicken SkyBox for all passengers who observe kashrut. You can order Kosher Chicken SkyBox when booking a ticket or later in your personal account on the company's website (but no later than 32 hours before departure). Read the detailed terms on the link.
PCR and antigen tests
On the official website, you can now book testing for Covid-19 by PCR or rapid antigen test. There are two ways to order the service:
- when booking tickets. To do this, you must select the appropriate option from the list of additional services at the stage of filling out passenger data;
- add an option to an already purchased ticket in the passenger's personal account.
Flexible change of the departure date
It became cheaper and easier to change the date for SkyUp passengers who have tickets at Standard and Flex fares. In the personal account of the passenger on the skyup.aero website, we have added the Change the date of departure special button.
For Standard fare, departure date changes will cost $23***, and new tickets can only be selected at the same fare. In case of a higher price of a new ticket, a surcharge is charged equal to the difference between the new and original tickets.
For Flex fare, the change of the departure date is free of charge three times for one flight. Starting from the fourth one it will cost $50***. New tickets can be selected only at this rate, and in the case of a higher cost of a new ticket, a surcharge will be charged in the amount of the difference between the new and original tickets.
Flex ticket holders may change the departure date in case of a no-show. It costs $38***. To do this, one must apply to the airline's contact center no later than 48 hours after the original flight has departed.
In addition, we recall that SkyUp provides an opportunity to change the departure date, regardless of the fare, if the passenger has the COVID-19. It is necessary to inform the airline about the decision and provide a positive result of the PCR test for COVID-19 with a QR code no later than 12 hours before the flight departure (if you are traveling to Tanzania (Zanzibar Island) or Sri Lanka — no later than 48 hours before departure).
You can change the flight departure date to any new one available on the official website of the airline at the time of rebooking.
