A specialized working group on cooperation between educators and future employers is created at the National Aviation University of Ukraine (NAU). Its goal is to increase the competitiveness of young professionals that the aviation industry needs. The group includes the first vice-rector of the NAU Rimvydas Khrashchevsky, the vice-rector of the NAU for international cooperation and education Iryna Zarubinska, the deputy head of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine Igor Zelinsky, and HR-business partner at SkyUp Maria Mironchuk. The working group will meet in the near future.

“Aviation in Ukraine is gradually recovering from the pandemic and soon this process will be even more active. We already feel a significant demand for professionals. For SkyUp, participation in such a group is an opportunity to share expertise and bring the training of specialists closer to the international standards according to which our airline operates. As a responsible Ukrainian business, we are interested in the education system developing at the same speed as the industry does. And also we need the final educational product to meet the needs of the business. This is what precedes the success of both young specialists and Ukrainian aviation to a large extent,” comments Maria Mironchuk, HR-business partner at SkyUp.

“At SkyUp, we dream of transforming the perception of aviation in Ukraine. For this, we need a strong team. We attract the best experts, and we also enable young talents to change the world of travel with us. Therefore, working with universities and the education system is one of our strategic priorities,” notes Natalya Petleva, HR Director at SkyUp.

The need to create a working group was identified by the key players of the aviation sector of Ukraine during the meeting Strategic ways of developing the training of aviation industry specialists, which took place at NAU in early June. Among the participants of the event were Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Kizim, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andriy Vitrenko, Deputy Head of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine Ihor Zelinsky, Head of State Enterprise UkSATSE Andriy Yarmak, and heads of leading Ukrainian aviation enterprises and private companies.

During the meeting, participants discussed the issues of coordinating the work of educational institutions with future employers, as well as the strategic objectives of the aviation industry of Ukraine, the integration of Ukrainian aviation into the common European aviation space, as well as the development of international educational partnership for training aviation personnel.
