National quarantine extension: SkyUp cancels all scheduled flights until April 24, 2020

26 Mar 2020

SkyUp Airlines cancels all scheduled flights until April 24 inclusive due to continued measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Passengers who have purchased tickets for flights departing during the temporary air traffic ban may reschedule them at a later date or receive reimbursement of the ticket in accordance with the terms of the tariff.

Quarantine declared force majeure

Airlines cannot operate flights in the aforementioned period due to the temporary restriction on the crossing of the state border introduced by the authorities of Ukraine and of other countries, as well as to quarantine officially declared force majeure (Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine aimed at preventing the emergence and spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)” from 17.03.2020).

Conditions of date changing or reimbursement of tickets with departure date until 24 April

In accordance with the Ukrainian law and the rules of the airline, in case of cancellation of the flight due to force majeure, the passenger can count on:

  • Change of departure date at no extra charge;

  • Return of the cost of the purchased tickets according to the terms of the applied tariff.

For all questions related to changing the date or reimbursement of tickets, you should:

  • send an e-mail to [email protected] if the ticket is purchased on the airline's website;

  • send a request to your agent if the ticket is purchased through the airline agent network.

Due to the large number of requests, the processing time of the request may be longer than usual. We want to ensure that all requests will be processed promptly.

Conditions of date changing or reimbursement of other tickets

We also want to remind you of the conditions for changing dates or refunding tickets for reasons unrelated to force majeure.

If the flight is canceled at the initiative of the airline, the passenger can count on:

  • Change of departure date at no extra charge;

  • Full refund of ticket price.

If a passenger has booked round trip tickets within one reservation, and at least one of the flights has been canceled at the initiative of the airline, the passenger has the same rights:

  • To change dates of the trip at no extra charge;

  • To receive a full refund of ticket price.

The passenger also has the right to refuse to fly on his own initiative. If a flight the passenger doesn’t want to take, is not cancelled and is operated on its normal schedule, the passenger may:

  • change departure dates or receive refunds according to the applicable fare.
