Free Flights for Shelter Fluffy Friends

27 October 2025, 15:40

Today, when travel has become not only a form of leisure but also a way for Ukrainians to maintain emotional balance, SkyUp Airlines™ continues to strengthen its partnership with the Happy Paw Foundation — continuing a long-standing tradition of joint social projects. We want to help shelter pets find their homes, and as a special bonus, their new families will receive a lifetime gift from the airline: free flights for their four-legged friends.

How It Works

  1. Getting the Certificate
When you adopt a pet from one of Happy Paw’s partner shelters (a full list is available on the foundation’s website), the shelter staff will provide an informational leaflet with a link to an online form. If you plan to travel with your new furry friend, filling out this form is the first step toward receiving free flights for your pet.

  2. Submitting Information to the Airline
After you complete and submit the form, the data is verified by both the SkyUp Airlines™ team and the Happy Paw Foundation. Within seven days, you’ll receive an email with a certificate containing a unique number that confirms your pet’s eligibility for free flights. Keep this document safe — you’ll need it when booking your flight.

  3. Booking a trip
When planning a trip, book your ticket on skyup.aero and send the booking number and the certificate (or its number), which they received after filling out the online form when adopting the animal, to [email protected]. The SkyUp™ team will check the certificate and add the furry passenger to the booking free of charge.

“For SkyUp Airlines™, social initiatives are a way to make air travel culture more humane. Pets are true family members who bring warmth and emotional support, especially in difficult times. We want our passengers to enjoy the freedom and comfort of traveling together with them,” comments Olga Razumova, Head of Collaborations & Special Projects at SkyUp Airlines™.

“Right now, one of the biggest challenges for shelters is the growing number of abandoned pets whose owners don’t take them along when evacuating or moving to another city or country. We truly hope that our partnership with SkyUp™ will help these furry friends become more mobile and give future pet parents more confidence to adopt animals from shelters,” adds Anastasiia Aboliesheva, Head of PR & Comms at Happy Paw.

Select your flight

Together with the Happy Paw Foundation, we want to show that caring for animals can naturally become part of everyday life and travel, and that every flight with a furry friend is a step towards a responsible and caring society.
