Situation at border crossing points in Odesa region: what to consider when planning your trip

19 December 2025, 19:23

Due to recent Russian attacks on the Odesa region and strikes on the bridge near the village of Maiaky on the Odesa–Reni highway, access to several border crossing points is currently complicated. We know many of you are following the news and may be concerned about whether you will be able to make it to your scheduled flight from Chisinau on time.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and have gathered the latest information to help you plan your journey and reach your flight safely.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

• Consider alternative routes that are more convenient for you. Use alternative border crossing points to enter Moldova*:

In Vinnytsia region:

  • Mohyliv-Podilskyi – Otaci — may currently be congested, so please take this into account, as well as:
  • Bronnytsia – Unguri

In Chernivtsi region:

  • Vashkivtsi – Grimancăuți
  • Rososhany – Briceni
  • Kelmentsi – Larga
  • Sokyriany – Ocnița
  • Mamalyha – Criva

Please note that this list may be updated. We recommend checking the latest information on the websites of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

• Allow extra time for your journey. Queues at the border may be long, so the best option is to depart at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight until the situation stabilizes. It is better to spend extra time walking around Chisinau than to miss your flight.

• Don't forget the online registration for your flight — it will help you save time and avoid additional queues at the airport.

We remain in touch. Safe travels!
