The autumn season has begun, and we are not going to slow down. We also continue to expand the flight map. Read more in our monthly news digest.
September in figures
In September, we performed 2,082 flights*. And 334,829 passengers* have chosen these flights to get to their destinations.
Expanding the European map of flights
In September, we resumed Kyiv — Prague flights and opened Kyiv — Lodz route, new for our passengers. Spending the last few warm days in the arms of an autumn European city is an opportunity to enjoy long walks along cozy streets, visit new interesting places, take pictures at architectural monuments and stock up with impressions for several months in advance.
Renewing our favorites and continue to fly to new travel destinations
Also in September, we practically completed a large-scale summer flight programme to Saudi Arabia, becoming the first airline in the history of Ukraine to launch direct regular flights to this country. In October, we're still flying on the Lviv — Dammam route.
Saudi Arabia, together with other Arabian Gulf countries, is one of the priority vectors for the development of inbound tourism in Ukraine, therefore, tickets are already available for May-June 2022 on the following routes: Kyiv — Dammam, Kyiv — Jeddah, Kyiv — Riyadh, and Lviv — Dammam.
We won the case on Kyiv — Istanbul flights
According to the decision taken in September by the Supreme Court, flights on the Kyiv — Istanbul route remain with the airline. SkyUp now has three frequencies on the Kyiv — Istanbul — Kyiv route and uses them in full: flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. SkyUp Airlines offers not only tickets to Istanbul, but also citybreaks, an up-to-date format of recreation, when a hotel and tickets can be booked in one click on the airline's website. The same service is available for passengers traveling to Istanbul from Lviv, Odesa or Kharkiv.
