European carrier SkyUp MT Limited, part of the international brand with Ukrainian roots SkyUp™, has successfully completed IOSA, the global industry audit on operational safety and quality. This audit is an international benchmark in safety management and its improvement.
Introduced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the IOSA audit is an internationally recognized assessment system for compliance with modern requirements for the safety of air carriers. It is based on best industry practices, as well as principles, regulations, and standards developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Becoming the IOSA operator and being included in the IATA register is the best confirmation of the airline’s reliability for passengers and partners and its compliance with the highest industry safety standards.
“We are super proud that SkyUp MT has completed the IOSA audit after just one year of operation. Flight safety and passenger comfort are our absolute priorities, and the successful completion of this audit highlights our efforts in the best possible way,” says Dmytro Sieroukhov, Accountable Manager of SkyUp MT. “We believe that this achievement will strengthen our competitiveness and open up new strategic opportunities and partnerships for us. We certainly owe all this to our incredible team, their high professionalism, and their hard work in implementing leading safety practices in the industry, which was noted by the IATA audit team during the process.”
SkyUp MT received its European Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in May 2023 and began performing flights for international partners under ACMI contracts.
Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines, also part of the SkyUp™ group of companies, completed the IOSA audit and became the IOSA Operator in 2023.
To maintain their status on the IOSA registry, airlines must undergo, and complete, an IOSA audit every two years.
