2021 continues, while SkyUp Airlines has already carried more than 2 million passengers. This is the first time the airline has reached this number within one year. We are especially pleased that the child became a record passenger. Especially since every year more and more young Ukrainians travel with us.
FC Shakhtar player Valeriy Bondar and representatives of the airline welcomed the two millionth passenger, who was traveling with his parents to the UAE, at the check-in counter. Together with warm congratulations, the boy received an autographed ball and a gift certificate with a 99% discount for the next trip during the year for any relevant SkyUp destination. Also, the child was presented with memorable souvenirs that can be useful in future travels.

The number of children traveling with SkyUp is growing
According to SkyUp's internal statistics, women are the most active travelers on SkyUp flights. From January 1 to October 1, 2021, women accounted for 51% of the total number of passengers, while men accounted for 38% and children for 11%. The results were almost similar last year when 50% were women, 39% were men and 11% were children.
However, the number of passengers in each group has significantly increased. From January 1 to October 1, 2021, we have already transported 1,030,613 women (621,269 in 2020) and 753,446 men (485,076 in 2020).
Also, every year more and more passengers choose SkyUp to go on vacation with children. From January 1 to October 1, 2021, we carried 223,345 children, while during the previous year there were only 130,135 young passengers.
In 2021 young travelers tried the delicious and healthy Kids Skybox 2,469 times. This is +173% more than a year before.
SkyUp development in figures
Until the end of this year, SkyUp Airlines plans to carry about 3 million passengers, while previously from 2018 to 2020 the airline carried 3,402,031 passengers in general.
The airline's fleet now has 14 aircraft and this number will grow. The SkyUp flight program covers more than 60 destinations in Europe, the Caucasus Region, the Middle East and Central Asia. In winter 2021/22 the following destinations have been announced: Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Tenerife), Cyprus (Larnaca), Czech Republic (Prague), Poland (Lodz), Bulgaria (Sofia), Austria (Salzburg), Slovakia (Poprad), Turkey (Istanbul), Portugal (Lisbon, Madeira), France (Paris, Nice), Kazakhstan (Almaty), Georgia (Tbilisi, Batumi), Armenia (Yerevan), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Tanzania (Zanzibar) and Sri Lanka (Hambantota).
